Each year lots of people make the very same New Year’s Resolution. Every year they say “this year I would like to get healthy.” Every year men and women state “This year I’m gonna get in shape.” You already know just that accomplishing this stuff is hard work. If these are generally your resolutions there’s no doubt that you’ve witout a doubt read a large number of articles that say the same thing. Good food along with good training are needed if you really want to get healthy. You might be hoping for something different that you can do. There happens to be: preparation work. It’s really hard to jump onto the healthy and balanced bandwagon and also make all of your changes at once. First you need to produce a good number of plans. If you have a plan to follow you will have better luck.

The primary you will need is to find the right tools. While you don’t need to really use any special shirts of pants when you work out, you do need to have the right shoes. The same shoes you dress yourself in all day long will not be good for working out. It is essential to wear the proper shoes for your workout. If you don’t, you can actually do a great deal of damage to your feet and ankles, not to mention the rest of your body (injuries that start in the feet have a tendency to spread up). Talk to an authority at a sports activities store to figure out if you need cross trainers, running shoes, walking shoes or other types. What kind of shoes you have to purchase will depend upon the workout routine you decide to do.

If you need help figuring out what to eat and when, meal planning could be a big help. When you start selecting your foods better it’s easy to assume that you will be able to simply pluck the nutritious stuff off the shelves instead of the unhealthy stuff every time you buy food. This isn’t always the case. Old behaviors are hard to break, specifically when you’re grocery shopping. It’s a lot easier to know what to purchase at the store and cook at home whenever you plan your meals in advance. You can plan out your weeks and even your months all at once. This may also help you save time each night when you would typically be stressing out over figuring out things to make for dinner.

Do some homework. You need to do some investigating before you will be ready to make smart decisions about things like eating and working out. You can take modest steps to get healthy while you are doing your reading and talking to your doctors. The more you know when you begin on your new project; the better off you will be in the long run. Truly getting healthy is dependent upon your knowledge base.

It’s amazing to want to improve your health but if you can not do some prep work, it won’t ever happen. First you have to plan out a path to follow so that you don’t ever get stuck wondering what to do next and unintentionally find yourself distracted away from your goal.
Eat Berries For Lower Blood Pressure

A study revealed that anthocyanins found in berries can help lower blood pressure and thus, manage hypertension.

<ins><ins id="google_ads_frame3_anchor"></ins></ins>

Hypertension is otherwise known as high blood pressure or tensing of the arteries due to high pressure build-up. These arteries enable the transportation of blood from the heart to all the major organs and tissues in our body. There are multiple causes of hypertension, such as obesity, chronic renal failure, diabetes mellitus type 2, renal infarction and even pregnancy. The normal blood pressure is within the bounds of 120/80, blood pressure ranging to 139/89 is categorized as pre-hypertension, and blood pressure of 140/90 and above is placed on the high category.

Symptoms of hypertension includes chronic headaches that goes on for days, vertigo or dizziness, nausea, heart palpitations, double vision or blurry, drowsiness, general fatigue, shortness of breath, and buzzing in the ears commonly known as tinnitus.

Hypertension Management

A treatment for this specific ailment varies but the most efficient cure for hypertension is using a complex approach. It includes patient’s history, age, gravity of the condition, therapy schemes that will concentrate on the ailment’s precise cause. Hypertension curable and it all begins with prevention. This consists of keeping a healthy weight and lifestyle by avoiding excessive intake of alcohol, smoking cessation, and eating a well-balanced diet and regular exercise. Long ago, hypertension can only be controlled through the use of medications – but not anymore.

More natural forms of treatments are currently being introduced in the market. A study indicates that anthocyanins, a type of flavonoid found in strawberries, blueberries, cherries, purple grapes as well as in vegetables such as purple cabbage and beets, is helpful in alleviating high blood pressure. According to a research study done by scientists from the Harvard School of Public Health, Harvard Medical School and a UK based University of Anglia, multiple intake of anthocyanins reduces the dangers of hypertension by up to 12 percent. Hence, the most important advantage one can get from taking in foods that are rich in anthocyanin is the management of hypertension. Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are a result of chronic hypertension, and it is known to causes half of Europe’s death, and at the same time tallying Europe’s economy expense around $202 billion per year.

Research Findings

For an average span of 14 years, Harvard’s Eric Rimm led the researchers in gathering data from various subjects, consisting of 133, 914 women, and 23,043 men. Flavonoids and other subcategories were analyzed using questionnaires regarding food frequencies and were distributed every 4 years. An accumulation of 5,629 and 29,018 documented cases of hypertension were tabulated in men and women, correspondingly.

When the figures were finally reported, the researchers discovered that the topmost average consumption that ranges from 16.2 to 12.0 milligrams daily was correlated to an 8 percent reduction to the dangers of hypertension. On the other hand, a 12 percent increase in lowering hypertension risk was tabulated among subjects with ages from 60 and above, as compared to the nethermost consumption of anthocyanins, ranging from 5.7 to 6.8.

While no other subcategories of flavonoids were related to high blood pressure, researchers however, observed that the compound apeginin was linked to a 5 percent decrease in risk. When the maximum and minimum levels of intakes were compared, researchers added that a 6 percent reduction in the dangers of hypertension was noted for subjects over the age of 60 that has the topmost average consumption of flavan-3-ol catechin. Also an important finding was documented stating that the consumption of blueberries among people of the same age group lessened their risk of hypertension by up to 10 percent compared to those who did not consume any blueberries. Dr. Rimm and his colleagues wrote that the results reinforce the theory that antihypertensive biological activities may be applicable to the processes of vasodilation linked with a particular flavonoid physical attribute.

Key Elements

According to Dr. Rimm and his colleagues, there is an existence of vast flavonoid structural varieties, but the likelihood that it can lower the effects of blood pressure is inadequate with regards to its similar anatomical composites which include the catechol and 4’ hydroxy flavonoids.

In addition, the research findings implies that distinct categories of flavonoids are connected with lowering blood pressure especially anthocyanins. The data is highly significant due to the fact that anthocyanins are commonly found in blueberries, strawberries, cranberries, fruits that are normally consumed and can be easily added to a person’s dietary needs. Researchers also added that blackcurrants, blood orange juice and blueberries have an additional 500 mg of anthocyanins.

The researchers added, that the fundamental biological process wherein flavonoids helps control blood pressure comprise the influence of flavonoids with regards to the vascular movement of blood, vascular reactivity, and the process of glucose uptake.

However, researchers from the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition states that the research needs additional thorough investigations, which will include intervention analysis to assess the ideal dosage of foods that are rich in anthocyanin that could prevent hypertension and reinforce the recommendation and remedy of hypertension.

Additional Information Regarding Flavonoids

Other than hypertension, anthocyanin, the flavonoid compound is also recognized by countless laboratory researches.

Based on findings, anthocyanin is also potent in preventing cancer by delaying the development of pre-malignant cells, hastening apoptosis, which effectively kills cancer cells in a faster rate.

It also helps in controlling inflammation by dampening allergic reactions.

It also cancels out enzymes that damage the connective tissue and its antioxidant properties blocks oxidants from destroying connective tissue. Furthermore, it repairs proteins that were damaged in the blood vessel wall.

Anthocyanins, at the same time hinders abnormal protein production, a significant importance for diabetic patients, since profuse protein production may lead to retinopathy which takes place when the body tries to repair leaks from damage capillaries.

Lastly, anthocyanins may help prevent brain damage. Since the human brain is highly vulnerable to damage by peroxynitrite nitration of tyrosine excess in proteins and enzymes causing neurodegenerative ailments and possible brain trauma. The nitrates impede receptor sites, hence stopping neural growth and restorative processes. Anthocyanins’ job is to aid the brain by protecting it against neurological diseases.

Osteoarthritis is one of the many types of arthritis that causes degeneration of the joints significantly affecting a person’s quality of life. It is oftentimes characterized by joint stiffness, swelling in the affected area and pain. The National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases said that osteoarthritis is perhaps one of the most frequently-occurring forms of arthritis – the others being rheumatoid arthritis and gout – that affects approximately 27 million people, aged 25 or more, in the United States alone.

What is Osteoarthritis?

For many years, medical experts have devoted time, effort and money in order to determine the exact cause of osteoarthritis. Sadly, the answers remain elusive. The damage in osteoarthritis starts at the cartilage – a tough connective tissue that is found in between joints as well as in other areas of the body such as the larynx and the outer ear – which is supposed to act as a “cushion” in order to prevent the end of two bones from rubbing unto each other. In osteoarthritis, the cartilage between the joints loses its elasticity and then degenerates. In time, the cartilage may thin out, or disappear altogether, causing bones to rub unto each other leading to extreme pain.

The following factors may lead to the development of osteoarthritis:

Medical experts have discovered that genes, or heredity, can actually make a person more predisposed to develop osteoarthritis. A particular gene is responsible for collagen production. Collagen is an important protein component in cartilage. Abnormality in the gene may lead to premature degradation of cartilage which may cause osteoarthritis.

Obesity puts on excessive amounts of pressure in the joints because of the excess weight, which may cause strain. The joints that are responsible in weight-bearing, such as the hip, knee and ankle joints, are the ones that are most commonly affected.

Being inactive for long periods may cause the joints to become stiff, dysfunctional and painful because muscles around the joint can weaken with inactivity.

On the other hand, overuse of the joints, or continuously exposing them to extreme, high-impact activities can cause repetitive strains and stresses. This may also lead to joint injuries.

It is said that the main cause of osteoarthritis is wear-and-tear. In old age, the joints have been exposed to too much activity since childhood and this puts the person at increased risk for osteoarthritis.

Osteoarthritis can be debilitating. It can significantly affect a person’s ability to perform activities of daily living sometimes causing the patient to lose independence. Symptoms of osteoarthritis include:

Pain

Joint stiffness

Nodules in the fingers

Tenderness in the joints

Swelling

Crepitus (crackling sound upon joint movement)

Difficulty in movement

A Study on Osteoarthritis

The effects of osteoarthritis can be devastating. This propels people, especially those who are in the field of medicine, to continuously look for ways to prevent the onset of the condition or to somehow slow its progression.

In line with this, a group of researchers enrolled 132 participants (66 men and 99 women whose ages ranged from 45 to 55) in the National Institutes of Health Osteoarthritis Initiative who have not exhibited signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis but whose risk for developing osteoarthritis of the knee is high. In addition, 33 body mass index- and age-matched controls were also included in the study.

Basing on the participant’s response to the Physical Activity Scale for the Elderly (PASE) questionnaire, they were divided into three strength training and exercise levels. The strength training groups were divided as to how often they performed these exercises: none at all, minimal only and frequently. The exercise levels were composed of sedentary, light and moderate to strenuous. Also, analysis was made on knee-bending activities.

What the Study Revealed

According to the senior author of the study, Dr. Thomas M. Link, the results revealed that joining in high impact activities like running for more than an hour daily, thrice a week or more, is linked to more cartilage degeneration and can potentially increase the risk for osteoarthritis development. On one hand, participating in light exercise and avoiding repeated knee-bending activities can protect a person from osteoarthritis. Dr. Link is from San Francisco’s University of California, a chief of musculoskeletal imaging and a professor of radiology.

The participants were asked to undergo MRI exams, which showed that the group who engaged in light exercises and those with minimal strength training had the healthiest cartilage in the knee, as compared to the participants who either had frequent or no strength training at all. Women who indulged in moderate to strenuous exercises and did strength training were also linked to increased water content and degenerated collagen in their knees. A co-author of the study, Keegan K. Novis, B.S., R.N., said that the results suggests that performing moderate to strenuous exercises can speed up the degeneration of cartilage, putting women at a higher risk for osteoarthritis.

Moreover, the findings also indicated that doing knee-bending activities frequently, like climbing up more than 10 flights of stairs per day, squatting or kneeling for a minimum of 30 minutes daily, or lifting objects that weighs more than 25 pound, were linked to cartilage abnormalities and higher water content.

Conclusion

The researchers suggested that performing light exercises, like frequent walking and swimming, is a much safer choice in order to help maintain healthy cartilage and, of course, healthy joints.

How to Promote Healthy Joints Naturally

You probably have heard this many times already, but nevertheless, I’ll say it again: healthy eating helps promote a healthy body. Contrary to what some people say, taking medications does not cure everything. Aside from the expenses, you are also in danger of adverse effects that it can bring. How about going for what is natural? You could start with making the decision to eat healthy, and eat foods that will help promote healthy joints. Here are some of them:

Glucosamine is a compound that produces glycosaminoglycan which is needed for healthy cartilage. Some of the foods that are rich in glucosamine include sweet almond oil, crab shells, lobster shells and shrimp shells.

Manganese is a mineral that helps build healthy cartilage. This supports the function of glucosamine inside the body. Examples of food sources of manganese are nuts, green leafy vegetables, seafoods, whole grain breads and beans.

Omega-3 Fatty acids exert anti-inflammatory effects that helps ease swelling and pain associated with osteoarthritis. Top food sources for Omega-3 Fatty Acids are egg yolks, walnuts, flax seeds, cod liver oil, and salmon.

Vitamin C helps the body in forming collagen which is a protein found in cartilage, tendons and bones. Examples are kiwi fruit, peppers, tomatoes, broccoli, papaya, potatoes, peaches, nectarines, lychees, raspberries, grapefruit, guava, black currant, orange, lemon, cabbage, cauliflower, and many

As you know I am always on the lookout for good articles on Health & Fitness and I found an interesting one at http://newremediesfortinnitus.com. I copy it below for your convenience.

Pulsatile tinnitus is a more uncommon form of tinnitus that has particular causes that may or may not be identifiable. Learn what the causes are here, along with the symptoms and treatment options. Pulsatile Tinnitus And High Blood Pressure

Before we begin to discuss pulsatile tinnitus and it’s causes, let’s first look at tinnitus as a whole…

Tinnitus is the name given to a set of aural symptoms that arise due to one or more underlying conditions. In other words it isn’t an illness or disease in its own right, it is just the result of other factors which are present in the tinnitus sufferer.

The general symptoms of tinnitus are noises that the sufferer hears in their ears, but which are not produced externally. These sounds have been described as ringing, whooshing, roaring, hissing (mine), clicking, ticking, whistling, rushing, etc. Each case is different and the underlying condition present can dictate the actual sounds heard by the victim.

The general causes of tinnitus are things such as; natural hearing deterioration, ear infections, glue ear, meniere’s disease, otosclerosis, hearing damaged by excessive noise, inner ear / auditory nerve damage, bangs to the head, neck injuries, hypertension (high blood pressure), anaemia, sinus problems, narrowing of the arteries, overactive thyroid, stress / anxiety, etc. Pulsatile Tinnitus And High Blood Pressure

Pulsatile tinnitus is different from ordinary tinnitus in that the sounds heard aren’t constant, but are sounds that ‘beat’ in rhythm to the person’s heartbeat. You can test to see if you have pulsatile tinnitus by just feeling your pulse and timing against the sounds you hear. But of course you should visit your doctor for a proper diagnosis!

Another way in which pulsatile tinnitus is different is that, whilst the underlying cause in a case of ordinary tinnitus is very oftentimes difficult to pin down, with pulsatile tinnitus there is usually a better chance of identifying the cause. So that your doctor can then take the appropriate actions.

This is because the causes are largely due to changes in blood flow in the vessels in the ear, head or neck. There are a number of things that can cause this state of affairs including, but not limited to, strenuous exercise, pregnancy, overactive thyroid gland, severe anaemia, hardening of the arteries, etc. Your doctor can give you a more complete list of course.

In terms of treatment, once your doctor has diagnosed pulsatile tinnitus, they can test for the known underlying causes, and once identified, can offer the appropriate treatment. For example fix the high blood pressure, or fix the anaemia, etc. However, this isn’t always successful, as the underlying cause isn’t always identifiable; there are no guarantees.

But you must never give up with pulsatile or ordinary tinnitus, as there are many ways to manage your tinnitus where the medical profession can’t identify the cause. And it needn’t include drugs with their nasty side effects either. There are lots of natural ways to treat your tinnitus that can help to give you your life back. Pulsatile Tinnitus And High Blood Pressure

Hi it’s me here again, this time around with a review of Pre Jaculation. I’m going to be tackling the primary questions that potential purchasers of this product ask. They are usually:

Pre Jaculation – what is it all about? Well, let’s hear directly from the horse’s mouth on this one and check out what they say with regards to themselves on their website:

- Or maybe it’s just a lack of enough sleep, or worrying too much about money, or focusing on getting ahead with the career
- RIGHT?
- You will have better sex. More enjoyable sex. Sex that she tells her friends about. This will in turn increase your desire to have sex, and hers. Get more sex, more often.
- You will witness immense improvements in yourself with massively increased sexual energy and stamina – make love with the "GO" of a teenager!

Can I obtain a bonus for getting this product? (and just what exactly is a bonus? ) Some internet websites will provide you with a purchase bonus if you purchase a product through their hyperlink (as a thank-you for buying through their website). Regarding Pre Jaculation, you can find a bonus on offer – see link elsewhere in the article.

Is it worth purchasing? Pre Jaculation has a large collection of verifiable testimonials from happy customers submitted on their internet site. These are testimonials from previous customers who have taken the time and energy to email in a testimonial, so reading their views can often be well worth it. Obviously, that really should not be your sole research. The owner of a product can put anything at all on their site – you have to back-up their promises with an unbiased Pre Jaculation review. – see the website link at the conclusion of this report for one such review, which gives the product a rating of 3.33/5.

Could it be a scam? For products of this type, there’s just one guaranteed way to find this out: the product’s refund rate. If a product has a high refund rate, then it may well be a scam. It makes perfect sense – if it’s a scam, then people will likely be returning it in high numbers. The approx refund rate for Pre Jaculation is 26.01%, which is relatively high, suggesting that refunds are common, and this product might not be one to go for.

Can I get my money back if I don’t want it? Yes you can! The product is covered by a 60-day no quibble cash back guarantee through the payment processor (Clickbank). Which means you can get a refund without having to go to the product owners – you can just do it by means of Clickbank.

What next? We’ve covered all the primary questions that potential buyers have prior to buying this product. Before you make that final decision though, I would recommend that you look at the full review. It will tell you some additional information, including complimentary items, any special discounts and any bonuses offered. You can additionally find information on the purchase bonus stated previously. For that reason, head over there now (see website link elsewhere in this article) and you can check out the full review sheet for Pre Jaculation.
